An excellent operating system that greatly exceeded my expectation at replacement Windows 7. Stop the waiting and make the move to something new and improved. Builders packs do not offer tech support, so keep that in mind if you are not tech savvy. Upgraded Win 10 Home to Pro instantly. (Will not upgrade any other Windows versions, as correctly indicated in the description/instructions.) Worked like a charm. I build a lot of PCs for our company. Windows 10 Pro is the best MS OS yet. Terrible idea to have forced updates, won’t work with updates. Basically an OS, what I really liked was the sticker for the machine so when I go to sell it it looks like a genuine OS and materials also look genuine as they should. To be force fed a bad OS should be a crime. The product ID that comes with the package did not work. My new computer is up. Running x 1 day now. This Windows 10 Home on USB flash drive works well enough. I’m coming from a Mac. Decided to get a PC for the upcoming VR headsets. Never built a PC until now. This was also my first time installing an OS. From there you’ll see this USB drive along with your other storage listed under Boot Drives. Just pick this on the list and it does the rest.I did run into one issue, about 15 mins into the Windows install Windows will say it has to reboot the system. When it rebooted my Dell monitor went straight to power save mode (as if it wasn’t getting a signal output from the PC).
Use this in place of installing a CD drive. I have it installed but my office does not work. Upgrated from Windows 7 to 10 due to necessity. Very easy to install on a new PC. USB is great. Installed without error. Just changed the boot sequence to USB first and it starts. I was still a Vista user, this is much better, even runs faster. Only issue is that there isn’t a lot of direction on how to install this onto a new PC. Paying this much for a software this is mostly hated anyways for the new update should come with clear, step by step directions. In retrospect, maybe I should’ve ordered a disk for the update. Love Windows, especially since this version has no OEM applications, makes it feel like it is my OS. Just have to give it 15 minutes to do that.
Other than the rocky start the Windows 10 launch had , this is easily the best version of Windows to install for your business or at home.The software updates are frequent and free to download. I don’t know if I got a virus loaded copy or what. I have not been able to use my computer after installing this particular WINDOWS 10. It has been a very frustrating experience. Tried installing several times but it says I need to activate with an activation key. Although it took several attempts to correct and complete the purchase, once received, the provider gave easy steps for installation. The product was well worth the investment. I would order again from this company. Tried unpacking. Inserting the key but no dice. The software is also comes up as a UK product. This would not have been an issue because the settings can be modified; however, it would not allow activation. When calling in the product activation, MS says it does not recognize it as a valid product. Don’t waste your time trying to save a few dollars. I ended up going to the blue and yellow electronic store to get a working copy of the OS with a valid key. Loaded a USB drive from the Microsoft website. Loaded a fresh copy of windows. The product key that came with the disc worked, so my needs were met. Installs smoothly and without hiccups.For users with Windows 7, 8 or 8.1.
