Users can easily add or remove tools from a predefined list, collapse or expand panels and reorder panels. You can also create a custom panel. Add commands from the full command list. Autodesk recently introduced AutoCAD 2017 for Mac, the seventh release of the native Macintosh version of its flagship CAD software. The new release includes many of the same features found in the Windows version of AutoCAD 2017, which began shipping in the spring of 2016. For example, AutoCAD 2017 for Mac includes the same new tools for creating and editing centerlines and center marks and the ability to import and convert geometry and TrueType text from vector PDF files. But the biggest changes in this new Mac release are updates to the program’s user interface. I have updated my Batch Attribute Editor program to Version 1.2. This should no doubt greatly reduce the tediousness of manually inputting the attribute information. My Copy to Layouts program has now been completely rewritten and updated to Version 1.1. The program enables a user to copy a selection of objects to all or selected layout tabs in a drawing; this updated version is more robust with cleaner code for improved readability. Following a bug reported by a user, I have updated my Dynamic Block Counter program to Version 1.1. AutoCAD for Mac takes a good amount of free hard drive space - about 2.5 GB. If you’re using your Mac for professional purposes, however, it’s worth the space as this program will do much of your heavy lifting. If you’re tired of CAD software packages constraining your work process, you might be better suited to Cobalt’s Organic Workflow design process -letting users work in any way they want. With simple design iteration, accessible tools and a hands-on approach, you’re entirely in control. Users can create speedy designs from concept to production with Class A NURBS surfaces, ACIS solids and intuitive wireframe. And with a non-modal interface, you can switch between modeling techniques and approaches with absolutely no hassle. AutoCAD LT for Mac follows common native Mac application user interface guidelines, with a familiar Apple menu bar together with a number of workflow-based palettes. AutoCAD LT for Mac also supports native Mac OS X behavior, including Cover Flow navigation and Multi-Touch gestures. In its initial iOS version, AutoCAD WS supported drawing of lines, circles, and other shapes; creation of text and comment boxes; and management of color, layer, and measurements - in both landscape and portrait modes. Version 1.3, released August 17, 2011, added support for unit typing, layer visibility, area measurement and file management. The Android variant includes the iOS feature set along with such unique features as the ability to insert text or captions by voice command as well as manually. Both Android and iOS versions allow the user to save files on-line - or off-line in the absence of an Internet connection. Auto-complete options help you access commands more efficiently. The power of multi-functional grips extends to most AutoCAD objects, including lines, arcs, dimensions, and mleaders as well as 3D faces, edges and vertices. Elements modified in one file are easily updated in related design files. Divvy up large project components. Work on them simultaneously to maximize efficiency. My Circle Break program has now been entirely rewritten and updated to Version 1.3. The accompanying program description has also been rewritten. A new animated demonstration has been included. Inspired by a request posted at the Autodesk Discussion Groups, I have added a new Nested Move program to the site. This program enables the user to move a selected object nested within a block, dynamic block or xref , without opening the xref source drawing. Following valuable feedback received from several users, my Nested Move program has now been updated to Version 1.1. The new version allows the user to select multiple neste
