I can make this run very similar to Windows 7 without much effort. A lot of the old menus seem to be buried but they are there. It then restarted my computer. Up came the fully implemented version of Windows 10. Better than Windows 8 by a far cry but it will never rival the easy simplicity of Windows 7 or XP. It is close enough to Windows 7 however that it’s tolerable enough to keep, but still too far away to get comfortable with it quickly. I still have windows 7. I’m really glad this didn’t work . If you don’t mind Windows 10. You are building a new computer this is the way to go. Therefore making windows unable to use. We received the product and was unable to activate it as it stated that the Windows key was already in use. Didn’t work on computer with old program, but happy with the return policy being so easy. Good way to redo the windows if you can’t access the restore point or troubleshoot options.
If you have Windows 8, you owe it to yourself to get 10, because it’s basically what would happen if you took 8, removed everything about it that sucked, and autocad electrical symbols combined that with 7. It’s got its flaws, sure, but I can’t see myself using anything else anytime soon. Easy install on a new build, everyone went well.
I have had a great experience with this operating system so far. It was a pleasant surprise there wasn’t much Windows Updates after install. I guess this disc is mostly up-to-date already. Lots of problems as most seemingly benign programs should be, but now that all is fixed many hours later the program is kinda the next step in home PC software. Why must there always be pain? The OS itself is another matter. Deserves maybe 2 stars… Needed for the old mans PC which was registered to me. - Be aware - you may need to go into BIOS and re-arrange the boot settings so it boots from USB rather than Hard Disk - if you have a copy of Windows already installed that you want to blank. Worked, installed drivers using Driver Booster and everything was working.
