But instead of paying hundreds for geek fixes or 1k for a new pc I bought this and went to my bios, installed it under cd/DVD boot drive and selected partition for the install and it worked. I have my old files still. The blue screen is gone. If you know a little about computers buy this. Keep the rest of your money. So I decided to go old school. Made a bootable disc. After that everything went as planned. The key was valid and the download went without any problems. It is too unreliable. Frustrating to continue with. Of course now it is too late to return it so I am out $100.Avoid this one until they offer a REAL fix for it. Of course they have to admit it is a problem first. I guess the countless people online complaining about it aren’t enough for them to admit they screwed up though.
I think Microsoft has overcome the things that people hated about Windows 8. Microsoft has put a lot of work and improvement to their latest OS. I see a lot of progress in this product, although I am mostly an Apple Macintosh user. Had to contact Microsoft. They were able to fix it for me. Worked fine just not the product key. I built a new system so it was time to move to Windows 10 from Windows 7. To my surprise, I don’t hate it. It is close enough to Windows 7 that I barely even notice the difference anymore. I despised Windows 8. Thankfully 10 is nothing like it. If your thinking about trying to β€˜save money’. Buy something cheaper on another site like ebay then you probably should not do that. So, save your money and buy Windows OEM software an keyforrest. I don’t get the hate for Windows 10.
MAKE SURE you have the Nov. ’15 update installed! That update made a lot of beneficial improvements to Win 10, imo. I ordered this Windows 10 Home 64 Bit OS from keyforrest, with keyforrest as the seller. Booted from the provided Windows 10 disk and proceeded to enter the COA license under the scratch off included on the Win 10 disk envelope. Windows continuously said that the license was invalid, try again. And I have to re-learn. Get used to the feel of this version. But otherwise, things seem to work faster with it and more reliably. I still think that Windows HP was the best of them. Windows 10 should cost less because it comes with annoying / big-brother-esque advertising for other Microsoft software. After logging into a Microsoft screen sharing application with an online Microsoft account, my OS user profile forced me to login and authenticate as my Microsoft account.
I hate that the Windows start button doesn’t display a β€˜Recent’ section; I have to launch explorer to see that. It’s foot print is still far too massive. I still hate they way they organize the top level page of explorer . I don’t like the organization of the autodesk inventor que es control panel.
