Reasons I Really Like Fusion 360 Student Licence

Getting Fusion 360 Student LicenceI used DesignSpark Mechanical a lot and really liked it. After a brutal learning curve, I switched to Fusion 360. I am OK with saving my files locally, I never wanted to store them on the cloud in the first place. Not used them for a year as I use Altium for work, but want to get back to hobbyist stuff w/ eagle. F360 still exports like 10 formats, a bunch of which are read by other software like solidworks.

Bring your spark of an idea to life with a complete set of schematic editing tools. I can have something from design stage to 3ds max 2016 trial version free download off the machine in one hour. Create indexed or wrapped toolpaths using the rotary axis of your machine for complex geometry.

I love that it exists, because it is indeed powerful. But it suits the needs of a minority of people compared to how most naturally create physical objects. Install it from openscad.org and I am now going to give you two complete worked example lessons. FreeCAD is really the only option that comes close. I think it can be as good, but there is a bit of a learning curve. Fortunately their are nowadays (5 years ago- not so much honestly) competitive and powerful free alternatives. In the past I just left my desktop running. My laptop was basically little more than a VNC client to me. If I remember the only restriction is interoperability with the commercial software. No CAM, but everything else I needed up until now is there. Usability is not the best but in comparison to other alternatives in terms of features and pricing itĪ²€™s the best deal for me.
