It does not need a full gaming machine to run well. Especially useful as my laptop goes from home to the shop and back. But somewhere there is a link to the personal edition, sorry I dunno what it is called. It really REALLY sucks when your digital files suddenly stop working. You have to scramble to recreate them in another platform or pay for the free tool you used to make them. It also pays to always save a dimensioned drawing in case this is ever necessary. More advanced manufacturing functionality such as 3+2 axis, 4 axis, and 5 axis milling will only be available in the paid subscription.
They would really like to trick you into buying a license, even though there is no need to. The online tutorials are generally very good, although I find that they sometimes do things that you are already supposed to know how to do, and with little or no explanation. For me, f360 is the absolute best tool for exactly these kinds of projects. I use it to design and print all autocad 2018 lt serial number and product key crack sorts of things I use in my household, replacement parts and the likes. The integration with cura is pretty good, I assume you could use any other slicer as well (it even has its own slicer built in, but I haven't yet looked at that in more detail). There are some free alternatives to f360, but I haven't found one yet that convinced me to invest in learning all over again.
