Tried unpacking. Inserting the key but no dice. The software is also comes up as a UK product. This would not have been an issue because the settings can be modified; however, it would not allow activation. When calling in the product activation, MS says it does not recognize it as a valid product. Don’t waste your time trying to save a few dollars. I ended up going to the blue and yellow electronic store to get a working copy of the OS with a valid key. Loaded a USB drive from the Microsoft website. Loaded a fresh copy of windows. The product key that came with the disc worked, so my needs were met. Installs smoothly and without hiccups.For users with Windows 7, 8 or 8.1.
I just wish it would stop popping up with their ads saying β€œYou don’t have the latest Office software.β€ I know I don’t, but it’s paid for. Super convenient way to install windows 10. Keep track of your liscence. Also has a repair tool included on the drive. Was expecting a disk got a thumb drive worked first time. Ordered and received within 1 hour. Have updated my old Vista Quad Core to Windows 10 and its fantastic. Thanks Going to Get Microsoft Office now since my experience was great. Installed this on a Compaq laptop from 2001, and it worked great! You would never know that the laptop is 14+ years old now! It boots up and shuts down fast, and it works just fine for internet browsing and email. Would not install on the new gaming rig I built. I had to go to Fry’s. Buy a DVD copy.
Windows 10 installed in around 5 mins on my Skylake build. It comes on a tiny drive the size of your pinky.

My problems may be with the hardware as it hasn’t been very stable with my 2008 built tower. I will keep using this OP. Would install it on my other systems. The way I’ve have figured it with windows is that there is no winning between them all. You get the reliable 7 but it is the oldest and slowest. You get 8.1 and you got to deal with metro and odd design choices. Lastly 10, you get to keep the good stuff from 8.1 but then there is cortana, spying, and force updates. Install from a downloaded ISO USB. There is a free version for students. I received this product. It installed on my pc. However, I cannot activate the operating system through Microsoft, as the key they provided is already used.They are selling a used product here, and Microsoft OS is NOT reusable! Do not purchase it because Microsoft will not activate it, as the keys have
