The installation went as expected on my new computer build, but Microsoft couldn’t authenticate the software. The error message said that the license code provided with this software was already in use, even though I had never tried to install it on any other device.
I got it yesterday and immediately installed it on my sister’s computer but could it gave me an error message that the Activation Key was incorrect and to re-enter. I did this a number of times. Got the same message. I then spent more than an hour on hold with Microsoft. Asked them to check the ket to see if it was valid. No problem with downloading. Setup as instructions were quite easy to understand. Considering that Microsoft has moved on to a paid subscription, it was nice to have this alternative that works as I would expect it to. On delivery the box looked authentic etc however the code was not recognized / didn’t work.Had to return the item, waiting for a refund.

Literally pop in the disk. Pay attention to your monitor. Updates are sometimes broken and Microsoft keeps trying to gather information to sell us products or software of their favor. Outside of that, OS works as intended and is a fine choice.
