Deleted SW and went to work for Autodesk last year for the same reason. As a nearly 20 year SolidWorks veteran and CSWP, 3 years ago I cancelled my SolidWorks yearly maintenance subscription and switched over to Fusion 360.
Both AutoCAD and FreeCAD can be used for 2D drawing and 3D modeling. But FreeCAD is solely parametric modeling software, while AutoCAD allows for direct modeling. Although there are autocad 2021 gpu requirements for deep learning wikipedia espaΓ±ol some tools for parametric modeling in AutoCAD as well. Fusion 360 is easier to learn and use than SOLIDWORKS and, at the same time, offers many more advanced features and tools.
