The computer did have the digital license. They seemed familiar with the issue and had me put in the default product key for Windows 10 Pro and then have it update. Worked fine when we did that but I spent a lot of time burning .iso files, etc… thinking there was something wrong with the disk. This is an UK version from the start, which may not be a big deal. The product key does work, so the installation went through. However, it failed to activate with Microsoft. You will not be able to customize the windows, and even some basic command utility doesn’t work.Regret to buy this one, and have to purchase another. These are for custom computer builders or if you want to upgrade your current Windows 10 Home license to Professinal license on a Dell, HP, Samsung, Asus, etc. computer. If computer breaks down and is retired then this product key can be tranferred to a new computer you build or buy. If your computer has a Windows 7 license product key then you do not need this. Your Windows 7 key or Windows 8 key can be used to upgrade to Windows 10. You can download the Microsoft Media Creation tool for creating a Windows 10 disk or flash drive if you have a Win. 7, 8, or 10 product key already. I bought this to install on an i7 PC that I put together. It installed OK except that in the beginning where you set the country, the only option that was available was United Kingdom. I’ve installed Windows 10 before on other computers. It always had a United States option there . Once installed, everything was set to US as I needed so no harm done. This version is for system builders so no support is available from Microsoft. Inserted the USB prior to powering the device on. Then followed the easy on screen prompts. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, arrived fast worked perfectly. It was a nightmare trying to download this to my computer. It kept freezing at certain points and when I finally got it completed I had an issue where it created a defaultuser0 account that had a password I didn’t know. Then it decided to try and log into an administrator account that was disabled. Long story short it took way too long to get this going on my computer. I kinda regret buying this for the price that was listed for me, when I built my PC I had tons of problems with it and it took me around two or so hours to get it all sorted out. It’s Windows 10 so you either like it or you don’t but the USB was fast to set-up. The USB flash drive is the way to go these days.
