Worked fine for installing Windows with bootcamp on my Mac. Installed Windows 10 on a new hard drive. The install from the USB drive worked well. I already knew of all the privacy stuff. Ten minutes later. It’s the same as any other Windows. The install was about 15 minutes with this product. I was suspicious of the USB delivery rather than DVD disks … old school. It allowed an older stripped down desktop to come back to life. Of course the CPU and motherboard was new enough to support W10. As usual from windows, I had to buy a $45 3rd party program just to get windows working, JUNK!!!! Installed from the included media. From iso direct from Microsoft. Bot fail to activate as key is not genuine. Packaging does not have any of the normal genuine holographic logos etc. Builder editions are not like regular off the shelf products. If you may ever need support or the potential end customer of this will need product support…this is not the product for you.I love that this product is available to me. Worked exactly as described twice. Converted an activated Home license to a Pro license. Just enter the key. Windows does the rest. Installation…..totally screws up the install of some of my software, as it says that it’s incompatible with this version of Windows. I hate how you cannot turn off update. I got the pro edition which allows to postpone them, but they still happen whether you want them to or not, and not always at an opportune time. Still has issues with bugs, and privacy is still bad. Mostly works but requires some configuration. Add-ons like classic Shell. Product said it had already been activated when I tried to use it. Also barcode stickers were covered up with other blank stickers. Something’s not right about this copy. This key is for manufacturer’s only. Be careful buying it as the seller will sell this same key to multiple customers. If you need support from microsoft you will be out of luck. They will require you to buy a new key.
I loaded Windows 10 over the internet on two Lenovo T410 laptops and it took hours to download. This version was on a USB drive, and even though my Dell Latitude E6410 only has USB 2.0 ports, only took 20 minutes to load and install. I had no problems with video drivers. Old operating system was XP so just did a fresh install without trying to save any apps or data. Well the code came in a few hours but in the event I didn’t need it. The seller sent a very helpful email with highlighted links to download the product. I did so and it worked perfectly. I had had to do a factory reset so lost the free Windows 10 upgrade we all had which I’d forgotten about. Therefore was a bit freaked by possibilities of malware but working fine. The USB Drive I received was corrupted. Would not load passed 1%. I tried numerous times installing, very frustrating! In the end I had to download win 10 on another computer/flash drive and use the code provided, which work the first try. The flash dive was also very cheap in quality in my opinion. Maybe I just got unlucky with a bad drive, who knows. I just want it to boot to Win 10. Haven’t figured out how to change that either. Would certainly appreciate any suggestions on these two issues. Since when does a full OEM version of Microsoft software not come with a product key / COA sticker? The program installed, but I’m not going to be a happy camper if I end up having to shuck out more money to activate this program. I suggest anyone reading keyforrest reviews deciding whether to purchase Windows 10 or not should go read some ACTUAL reviews from known tech sites and professional IT people. They paint a clearer picture as to the pros and cons of this OS without the ranting. As for my humble opinion regarding Windows 10, it is a worthy upgrade, and its FREE if you have 7 or 8. Its speedier, cleaner, and overall better OS than 7 or 8.People are averse to change. There is an uproar
