If you don’t want Windows 10 then get Windows 7. If you’re upset at everything then get Mac and give up all your geek credit.
But, in the end i chose 10 as it is a LIGHT install. I purchased the English version of Windows 10, 64 bit OEM operating system. What I received was the German version. All the external packaging said β€œEnglishβ€ version. All the text on the CD was printed in German language. The β€œset upβ€ only had German language choices. I waited to purchase a key until after the install was complete. I could load into the system settings to register the software. Out of stubbornness I did try my old windows 7 key before purchasing, but got the invalid key result that I expected. From completing the purchase, to typing in the received code and activating a genuine copy of windows 10 can’t have taken more than a couple of minutes.
After the product key not working at first I emailed the seller and to be fair he was really helpful. He sent a new product key by email which worked. Prompt delivery, instructions are ok although I did have to ring the helpline to install the product. Did not need to buy as there was a similar program on the computer I purchased which was good because the Office that I bought would not let me the sole user load it. I thought I was buying a disc with the program on. But turned out I still had to download the program, what am I supposed to do when win 10 crashes again. It’s office so what is more to say. It installed fine although throws up an error on opening word that means nothing. That is Bill Gates fault not Jeff Bezos’s. Built a new computer. Installed Windows 10. I upgraded from a Windows 7 computer, which is a big change…but I like it so far. I was expecting an English version, but received a Dutch version. Used for custom build desktop.
A lot of people give Windows 10 a bad rep, but for those who do not like change, they can easily stick with Windows 7 or whatever operating system they choose. I have a gaming pc, a Surface Pro 3, and a Microsoft Lumia 950 which runs Windows 10 Mobile. Since my PC and mobile devices share the same OS, I get a consistent user experience and awesome syncing across all of my devices. It’s surprising that keyforrest allow dodgy merchants to sell OEM versions of Windows. Even Windows on a flash drive without a product key or a product key that has already been used. The install itself was easy enough. Pretty standard procedure.I’m not a power user, so i cannot go into specific technicalities.I’ve been a Windows user my whole life. If you’ve used windows before, this will have a similar look.I would have gladly installed 7 if giving the choice between 10 and 7.
