USB is great. Installed without error. Just changed the boot sequence to USB first and it starts. I was still a Vista user, this is much better, even runs faster. Only issue is that there isn’t a lot of direction on how to install this onto a new PC. Paying this much for a software this is mostly hated anyways for the new update should come with clear, step by step directions. In retrospect, maybe I should’ve ordered a disk for the update. Love Windows, especially since this version has no OEM applications, makes it feel like it is my OS. Just have to give it 15 minutes to do that.
The convenience of having it on a USB flash drive is nice. Could have just downloaded it I suspect but I like having a physical copy. A lot of work on the level of editing system policy. Registry which only computer-savvy users can accomplish. One can block servers which Microsoft uses to spy on you on your home router. Plan on a wasted day of working on it. Plan on a day of cursing Microsoft. Plan on a day of wondering why did you not switch to Mac or Linux yet. Plan to thinking β€this OS sucks but I can sort of get used to it and tolerate itβ€.Microsoft makes a good version of Windows, free of data collection, Cortana, and bloatware. It is called Enterprise edition, but it is not available to retail customers. It is only available to corporate customers who cannot accept any leaks of data outside of their corporate network. Windows 7 remains a better (more user-friendly) OS than Windows 10. Only issue was a Microsoft problem. The Disk would only install Windows 10 Home.
Installed fast, generally ok, but I’m having trouble getting it to activate with included product key. I reformatted my drive. Reinstalled windows 10 with this. Too easy to install, fast install, and easy to configure privacy settings for those concerned. Windows 8 was a disaster, so I was ready to upgrade to a new program. I have to say Windows 10 is much better! They layout problems and bug issues are a thing of the past and it is working really well. I was kind of leery about this product, but it arrived and I downloaded it without a hitch. I was a little peeved that MS wants to charge extra for windows media player. It arrived very quickly. The product key worked as expected. It’s literally plug. Play with no issues. It took a minute to figure out how to boot from usb drive but after that everything was easy. I was skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews but I’m happy I chose this. Did a clean install on a newer laptop and it is working great. Super fast. Easy to navigate. I activated my windows and registered the key to my Microsoft account with no problems. Less than 24 hour delivery. It worked like a charm. They provide you with a link to download Windows 10 image but it is very very and again very slow. So I downloaded it from Microsoft. Used the key to register it. You can download both the 64bit and 32bit version.
