Why I Chose Keyforrest Autocad 2018 Not WorkingThe OS does not support Microsoft’s Media Player software to play videos / movies. Plus it is trying to be an iPad / tablet OS running on a PC and just simply misses by miles. I reformatted the hard drive and installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit; far superior OS and all the Microsoft software actually works. I was under the gun last weekend to upgrade a customer PC from WIN 10 HOME to WIN 10 Pro. I bought the software here, downloaded it and installed. It included a good product code to keep it all legal. I was half-expecting this to be a bogus license based on the low price, but it appears to be a genuine MS licence. It took maybe half an hour to receive their email If you’re just upgrading from win10Home to Pro, you don’t need to go through the download ISO / burn to media steps that you’ll be emailed. Simply open Settings, Update & Security, Activation, change ProductKey and that’s it. Windows will download the few updates it needs. However, product key would not activate as it has already been used by another computer!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed on the refund as I had already removed Product Key sticker and adhered to the back of my case and now the sticker is destroyed after trying to remove from case. I have used it on numerous computers. Teach classes on its use. It is a little infuriating why Microsoft wants to always move the location of things with each OS update.Mostly I wanted to write this to answer the question of the product key. If you look at the picture of the label it says OEM. That is original equipment manufacture.
After Windows 10 installation, I was shocked to see fully populated start menu, with more applications then I had in my old comp. My previous comp was from Toshiba and they managed to fill up my hard drive with their stores, apps and freeware junk. Therefore, this time I choose small pc builder. They did not put anything on the hard drive. I am wondering, if I buy from Toshiba now, will I have two stores to buy music, two stores to buy movies… I absolutely hate go through the long start menu searching for my few apps. When I try to download application I previously used I learned it is now only available through Microsoft store. Microsoft is obviously trying to build monopoly.There are 5 desktop wallpapers and 41 colors to choose for the Window bars. The default color from previous version is not available anymore. Now there are bright garish colors used at plastic toys for little children. The default for good reason is no color at all. In time when you can choose even for mouse or computer parts from million colors, it’s rather pathetic.The worst thing is automatic download of updates. My computer slowed down after one of the updates, so I uninstalled them. My comp with SSD running cores at 4 GHz now take it’s time to open a window.It is not I who has control of my computer any more. In Windows 10 Microsoft take control of your comp. There is nothing you can do about it.Time to go back.Time to go back. I used Windows 10 Pro OEM for a recent Computer build with a MSI Intel Socket 1151 Gaming Motherboard with the latest on board chipset. I tend to have 8 year plus ownership periods, initially build with upper mid-grade components and upgrade components over time as pricing and performance improves. I use the computer for personal affairs, significant Excel spreadsheet work, photo editing and video editing. I love my new snappy computer, but if the truth be told I really could have gotten a couple more years out of my heavily upgraded 2009 Build.I debated going with Windows 10 OEM versus Retail. As my 2009 Computer is still useful and I am hopeful of a long ownership cycle for this motherboard, I went with the OEM version. When I called Microsoft they told me the code was already used. Their was nothing they could do. My advice go buy in a real store this one will give you
