Easy to install. Works excellent. However, even though I backed all my computer’s content on an external hard drive, retrieving the files is not easy. Impossible for me actually, but this could be because I don’t have the required knowledge to do this. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied. 4 year old gaming rig works fine on it. 16g ram 7900 radeon 3770k i-7 happy with my purchase. Took 20 min or so to turn off all the apps that come with normal windows installs. This is everything and some about this version of windows, I like it very much, lacks a few things that Xp had and this does not but overall, you will not go wrong buying this product. I am also limited in some personalization such as theme. Such but those aren’t an issue. Thankfully keyforrest granted me a free return. This product comes on a thumb drive. Be aware that when you install Windows 10 from this thumb drive, there is a nearly complete replacement and many other updates that have to be downloaded and installed from Windows Update. So be sure to run Windows Update immediately after installing from the thumb drive. Do it repeatedly until Update says there are no other updates available. Windows 10 runs well on my 32-bit computer with Biostar motherboard, even though the computer is several years old. Frankly I prefer the interface of Windows XP more than that of Windows 10, but after getting used to Windows 10, I may change my mind. Incredibly easy to use and is able to be used again if you need to do a clean install of windows.
The computer did have the digital license. They seemed familiar with the issue and had me put in the default product key for Windows 10 Pro and then have it update. Worked fine when we did that but I spent a lot of time burning .iso files, etc… thinking there was something wrong with the disk. This is an UK version from the start, which may not be a big deal. The product key does work, so the installation went through. However, it failed to activate with Microsoft. You will not be able to customize the windows, and even some basic command utility doesn’t work.Regret to buy this one, and have to purchase another. These are for custom computer builders or if you want to upgrade your current Windows 10 Home license to Professinal license on a Dell, HP, Samsung, Asus, etc. computer. If computer breaks down and is retired then this product key can be tranferred to a new computer you build or buy. If your computer has a Windows 7 license product key then you do not need this. Your Windows 7 key or Windows 8 key can be used to upgrade to Windows 10. You can download the Microsoft Media Creation tool for creating a Windows 10 disk or flash drive if you have a Win. 7, 8, or 10 product key already. I bought this to install on an i7 PC that I put together. It installed OK except that in the beginning where you set the country, the only option that was available was United Kingdom. I’ve installed Windows 10 before on other computers. It always had a United States option there . Once installed, everything was set to US as I needed so no harm done. This version is for system builders so no support is available from Microsoft. My new computer is up. Running x 1 day now. This Windows 10 Home on USB flash drive works well enough. I’m coming from a Mac. Decided to get a PC for the upcoming VR headsets. Never built a PC until now. This was also my first time installing an OS. From there you’ll see this USB drive along with your other storage listed under Boot Drives.
