The technology company NVIDIA announced in 2021 they would adopt USD for their metaverse development tools. There has been no wide-scale adoption of a standardised technical specification for metaverse implementations, and existing implementations rely primarily on proprietary technology.
With all the basic topics of part modeling, assembly modeling, and drawings this book is a good companion. Each book includes access to extensive video training created by author Scott Hansen. Each chapter has one or more videos in which the author demonstrates how to use the tools that are covered in that chapter.
