The new OS is really great. Has many new features.
Pop up ads are one thing that we will have to get used to, but when a search engine takes over new pages like a virus, there must be more vulnerabilities lurking. The package arrived sealed, and official looking. Opened it by pealing back the red seal Inside was the install disk and the serial number. Installed windows, and input the serial number. Second red flag was that the serial did not have the scratch away cover over the number, but I still tried. The serial number was not valid because it had already been used.I purchased another copy elsewhere, had the proper anti-tamper measures and a valid license key. Microsoft support was great walking me through troubleshooting but even they said id need to basically use another computer to make my own usb and just use the product key because it was currupted. I bought this for the sake of convenience, and it made my afternoon a nightmare. I only kept it for the product key. Initial install went fine although not exactly as described in directions. Then starting crashing and locking up the high end Gateway game machine the second day after install, after downloading additional updates from Microsoft. Rolled the machine back to Window 7 pro. Attempted to reinstall W10. Refused reinstall attempt, hangs during installation. If I had to guess, I’d say the β€uninstall’ left some debris behind it is tripping over. 30 years of writing the same derivative OS, and MS still can’t get it right. When I received my USB drive containing Windows 10 I was happy that I would finally get to install the final operating system from Microsoft. Unfortunately when I inserted this USB Device into the computer and reset it and set this drive to be the boot device I was met with several error screens that would not let me install Windows 10. You read all these other reviews that say they received uh drives but you never think you could get one, or the people are just doing it wrong… Unfortunately that was not the case here. I received what I believe to be a bad drive. With this many bad drives you would think they would at least attempt to test them before they would test them before they leave the distributor.
When I check for updates it continually β€checksβ€ nonstop, similar to its troubleshooting tools. Ironically, the last Windows OS that worked reasonably well was XP which Microsoft in its infinite wisdom no longer supports even thousands of businesses still use XP. Will Microsoft ever get it right?! Not from what I see looking over its OS history. I started using Windows ’95 then ’98, both good products.
Good price for win 10 pro 64bit. System builder disks, does full install (just without the msft β€install-support’ component. excellent buy. System builder disks, does full install (just without the msft β€install-support’ component). Time to upgrade one of my desktops to Windows 10. Found this listing and seen it had taken a fairly descent price drop so the bells went off and signaled now would be a good time to purchase a pro version. Will be doing the upgrade this next week. A properly licensed legitimate version of windows 10. This worked great for setting up my system. It somehow crashes every two weeks. Will not boot to a Windows login screen. I have set system restore points, but still no luck in fixing it. Both times I ended up wiping app data. Keeping personal files. Both times the software to fix Windows 10 said that Windows Defender was corrupt. After you add product key it completes in less than 40 mins. As far as I can tell I got lucky. Got a totally legit copy of MS windows 10 pro. Others have reported fishy looking disks, pre-opened items, already used CD-keys, however, I may have gotten lucky!
I don’t know why this product is receiving bad reviews. However, I was unable to find a USB version of those vers
